Lauder Fellowship Virtual Session on Extremism with Jacob Ware

The Lauder Fellows participated in their fourth virtual session, this time engaging with Jacob Ware, a research fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Jacob specializes in domestic and international terrorism and counterterrorism, and together with Bruce Hoffman, authored the book God, Guns, and Sedition: Far-Right Terrorism in America, published in 2024 by Columbia University Press.  During the session, he provided insightful analysis on contemporary extremist movements, exploring their origins, dynamics, and how polarization fuels societal divisions today. 

Through analysis of current developments and historical examples, the Fellows explored practical approaches for fostering constructive dialogue, mitigating polarization, and strengthening resilience against extremist influences.
