Remembering the Victims of Ethnic Cleansing in Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina
During the Bosnian War of 1992-1995, ethnic cleansing was committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina against Bosnian Muslim and Croatian civilians. In the region of Prijedor, thousands of people were rounded up and sent to concentration camps, where they were murdered, beaten, raped, starved. Over 3,000 innocent people were killed in Prijedor during the war.
On May 31st, every year, the victims of ethnic cleansing in Prijedor are commemorated in Bosnia and Herzegovina and internationally.
