An accomplished author, his most recent book, The Last Politician: Inside the Biden White House and the Struggle for America’s Future, was published in September 2023. His previous work, World Without Mind: The Existential Threat of Big Tech, was named one of the best books of 2017 by The New York Times and Los Angeles Times. A former New America fellow, Franklin has also contributed to Slate and New York magazine.
