Lauder Fellow Ari Hechel visited three classes at a public school in Zurich, reaching around 50 students.
He shared the story of his grandmother’s survival during the Holocaust in France, providing students with historical context and a personal perspective.
The visits followed incidents of students drawing swastikas in classrooms, and focused on addressing the meaning and impact of such symbols through education and discussion.
