Viktor Eichner is the Head of the World Jewish Congress Representative Office to the Holy See in Rome and Manager of Europe of the WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps. Born in Hungary, Viktor studied Political Science and Economics at Corvinus University in Budapest and later pursued a graduate degree in National Security and Diplomacy at Tel Aviv University, where he also worked as a research assistant at the Institute of National Security Studies.
Viktor represents the World Jewish Congress at the Vatican, working to foster relations between Jewish communities and the Catholic Church. In 2023, he was tasked by the senior leadership of the WJC with opening the World Jewish Congress Representative Office to the Holy See.
Viktor serves on the Supervisory Board of the Jewish Community Center of Budapest (JCC Budapest) and is a member of the educational board of the Budapest Municipality Diplomatic Academy program. His dedication to interfaith dialogue began in his youth through his involvement with Jewish youth organizations (Jewish Scouts).
Viktor's experience includes four years as a management consultant in Tel Aviv and service as a former board member of the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS).
