
Adams is behind largescale projects across Israel such as a groundbreaking children’s hospital at the Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, and the state-of-the-art Sylvan Adams Emergency Hospital in Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv. He has also established Olympic-level sporting institutions across Israel.
Adams works actively to advance Jewish education abroad and strengthen the connection of Diaspora Jews to Israel, funding numerous Jewish community institutions and initiatives in North America.
Following the October 7th massacre, Adams donated $100 million to Ben Gurion University to strengthen Israel’s southern region and contribute to the development of Israel’s Negev.
Adams is the only Israeli member of the Giving Pledge, an organization initiated by Warren Buffet and Bill and Melinda Gates for billionaires committed to giving away the majority of their wealth to philanthropic pursuits.
In 2023, Sylvan was awarded the honor of lighting a torch at Israel’s official 75th Independence Day ceremony as the representative of the Jews of the Diaspora.
