Raya Kalenova is the Executive Vice-President and Chief Executive Officer of the European Jewish Congress (EJC).*
From 2008 to 2012, she served as EJC Deputy Secretary-General, where she was responsible for the establishment and management of the organisation’s Brussels office.
Prior to 2008, she worked in the private sector and was actively involved as a volunteer in various Jewish charities and organizations, including Keren Hayessod, WIZO, Radio Judaica, the Center Ben Gurion in Belgium (where she was elected Vice-President), and Israel Bonds, among others.
Raya Kalenova serves on the Leadership Council of the Claims Conference, representing Europe. Additionally, she represents the European Jewish Congress at the World Jewish Restitution Organization. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Security and Crisis Center by the European Jewish Congress (SACC by EJC), Treasurer of the European Jewish Fund, and a Council Member at the Latvian Jewish community restitution fund.
