Josh Cohen

WJC Vice-President (WUJS)
President, World Union of Jewish Students

Josh Cohen is the President of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS), the global representative body for over 800,000 Jewish students. Josh has been actively involved in Jewish student leadership, advocacy, and community-building. He has experience across national and international Jewish organisations, representing Jewish students within both communal and political spaces.

Before leading WUJS, Josh was the Campaigns and Jewish Enrichment Officer at the Union of Jewish Students (UJS), where he worked closely with Jewish societies and other stakeholders across the UK and Ireland, supporting student communities and fighting antisemitism on campus.

As a student, Josh served on the National Scrutiny Council of the UK’s National Union of Students (NUS), holding it accountable after a damning investigation into institutional antisemitism. He also served as a Deputy to the Board of Deputies of British Jews and as President of his University Jewish Society.

Josh is a Rabbi Sacks Fellow at the London School of Jewish Studies.
