Emily Bowman was born in Washington D.C., USA, but spent most of her time growing up in Budapest, Hungary. Emily is the current European Affairs Assistant and EU Project Manager at the World Jewish Congress, which is the leading international organization connecting and protecting Jewish communities globally, in more than 100 countries.

Emily completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Amsterdam where she studied Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics with a major in Law. In the past, she has worked for the European Union of Jewish Students and B’nai B’rith International in Brussels, she interned at the Israeli Embassy in Budapest and worked for the Joint Distribution Committee in Budapest as well. Emily also spent a year in Israel before her studies during which time she interned at a start-up and studied Hebrew.
